Pastor Kelli Richardson

Kelli Richardson, a graduate of Tuskegee University, began her career at DuPont in crop genetics before transitioning into education, where she excelled in DC Public Schools. In 2019, she answered the call to ministry, leveraging her experience to reach children and families earlier with the Gospel. She now serves as a Staff Pastor and Senior Director of Children’s Ministry at Zion Church, leading the children’s ministry across five campuses.
 

Raised in a Christian home by parents actively involved in ministry, Kelli was introduced to faith at an early age and accepted Christ at nine. However, it was through the challenges and obstacles of young adulthood that her faith deepened, shaping her understanding of what it means to have a genuine relationship with Christ.
 

Today, Kelli is passionate about helping children grow emotionally, relationally, and spiritually while partnering intentionally with families. She is committed to building strong, compassionate leaders who recognize their role in shaping the next generation. Through her leadership, she equips parents, creates meaningful family moments, and helps children develop an authentic, lasting faith. Through Xtreme Kidz, Zion’s children’s ministry, she is cultivating a thriving community where children and families grow together and every child feels seen, loved, and valued.
 

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kelli is married to her college sweetheart, Kendrick. They have two children, Savannah (14) and Elias (12), and together they own and operate RDS Architecture. Kelli loves Louisiana culture—especially the food, crawfish, and the Saints—and enjoys brunching, reading, and cooking…sometimes!
